Dearborn Community Garden

In 1974 or 1976 this former parking lot was converted into a community garden. In 1991 the land was donated by the Pepsi Cola Company to the San Francisco League of Urban Gardeners (SLUG). Since 2010 the garden has been under the jurisdiction of the San Francisco Department of Public Works (DPW).

Location: Dearborn Street x Bird Street, San Francisco, CA 94110

Hours: The garden is generally open for public viewing whenever a garden member is present.

Membership: San Francisco residents are welcome to apply for their own plot.  Annual dues are currently $50.  To be placed on our waiting list, you can email us at DearbornGardenSFWaitlist@gmail.com.

All 45 plots in this garden adhere to organic gardening practices.

Neither smoking nor dogs are allowed inside the garden.
